(Up)Rising Festival 2016
June 26 | 12-6pm | FREE
Rhode Island Avenue between 4th-24th Streets NE.
REGISTER in advance for your chance to win fun things!

An arts-focused festival that weaves its way through Rhode Island Avenue businesses, open areas, and vacant properties. This year, we explore the theme of creative collaborations – innovative and artistic ways to solve complex problems. The day includes performing and visual arts elements, hands-on activities, local food, drink, and retail vendors, as well as a chance to hang out with your Rhode Island Avenue small business owners and employees!

Participating artists share a revolutionary vision and engage festival-goers through heart, mind and body.

(After)Rising Pep Rally (Afterparty)
June 26 | 6-8pm | FREE for (Up)Rising Festival attendees or $5 donation @ the door
*Location TBA
Join host Shelly Bell as she unveils her pep rally for hyping up your life! The rally includes a marching band, cheerleaders and dancers all for the purpose of having a good time, promoting self-efficacy and encouraging people to live their best lives!

The (Up)Rising Festival is FREE to attendees because we wholeheARTedly believe in offering low/no-cost, high-awesome creative programming to all. We also believe in paying artists fairly for their work.

In order for us to stay true to both missions…
